Window Channel 26-4 EES CMC 10

Question

Hi,

I am hoping you have a replacement for the channel listed above. That was the only mark on the original. I do not know the window manufacturer but the house is about 15 years old and was built by Sierra Homes in Logan Utah. The top plastic piece of the channel (spring attachment side) does not have wings. I purchased one from a local window store who said it would work but it does not lock in place in the window. It is stamped 26 4. It has wings on the top plastic piece.

I would really appreciate any help you can provide.

We'd be happy to help but, unfortunately, the stamp code only indicates the strength of the spring but not the balance series. To get started, we'll need to see photos of your original balance removed from the window. Please make sure to include both end fittings and the pulley clip from an intact balance. We'll also need to see the connecting point between the spring and pulley inside the metal channel to determine if our stock balances could work for your repair or if they would need to be special ordered.
