Window Channel Balance 2950 or 3050

Question

One side of the channel balance in my large bedroom window broke. I had a handyman come to replace. He replaced the one side with a 3050. Now the other side has broke.

Doing this myself and after a lot of reading, I noticed that the now broken balance is stamped with "29DS IMP 48L BSI". Obviously, two different sizes and not sure whether I should order two of the original (29) size or order one of the new (30) size.

I measured the glass portion only of my window and it measures 28". According to what I've read, the 29 is the correct size for my window. Not sure though. I've included photos of all this for your reference. Also included is a photo of the bottom portion showing that it is 1". Please advise me as to which channel balance I should get. Appreciate your assistance.

Thanks for posting. I believe we can replace this balance for you, but it will need to be a custom order due to the stamp option of 29DS being a special weight balance spring. Can you confirm that the length of the balance with the metal channel stamped 29DS is 30"? Do not include the nylon attachments on either end in this measurement. Speaking of those nylon attachments, can you show us photos of both? We need to see them to identify the balance series you have. You will need to remove the balance from the window to accomplish this. Many thanks.
