Hi,
I have a window channel balance that "almost" meets all the dimensions for S390-28 / 2740. The only two dimensions that are off are
1. The shoe depth, which is ~ 1-1/16 rather than 1-1/8.
2. The length of the channel is 27.5" rather than 27 or 28. However, the channel is marked with 2740, which leads me to believe that the right model is the 28" one.
Please let me know your thoughts and whether or not potentially having a slightly larger channel could be an issue.

Hello, Luis. I believe that your shoe was once 1-1/8" and just wore down a little over time, which would account for its depth. The length of the metal channel is another matter, though. 27-1/2" is something that exists, but it has to be a custom order. 28" will not work, either.
Please give me a little time to look into the availability of that size. In the meantime, can you tell me how many you need?

Thanks! Technically only one, but I assume it is good practice to replace both of them for the same window, right? If that's the case I will need two.

Yes, that's exactly right. We always recommend replacing both balances at the same time. Two is our minimum for custom orders anyway, so that works out.
I'll email you an order link and price quote now for two balances. This will allow you to add the custom balances to your cart as if they were any stock part. Think of it like a private store page that only you can see.
