Window Channel Balance

Question

I need to replace 8 window Channel Balances on single sash Lawson impact windows.

The units are 30 inches long not including the plastic ends. The windows are series SH-7700. The old units are stamped 9DS 38.

Thanks for posting! It looks like you have either the S380-30 with a 1" shoe or the S385-30 with a 1-3/32" shoe. To determine which series is needed for your window, look over the dimensions from the diagram below to confirm the depth of your bottom shoe. Let me know if it does not match either measurement.

Since there is a 38 at the end of the stamp, it is likely your sash weighs 38lbs. With that said, you'll need to select the 2965 stamp for a sash weighing 35 to 39 lbs. Although, you'll need to be sure to double check the weight of your sash to confirm.
