Window Channel Balance Replacement

Question

Hello,
I have to replace my window channel balances and I believe I need a 22" Option 2120 (my sash is 8lbs and 2120 is also marked on the channels I removed). However, I noticed there are options for Series 380, 385, and 390. I'm not sure what the differences are so I don't know which one to pick. I would appreciate some assistance with this.

Hi Adriana. Good question. These channel balances are all distinguished by the style of nylon attachments at both ends. All the ones you cite are very similar, but your old balance's attachments both have 'wings', or those side tabs. Therefore it is either the S380-22, S385-22, or S378-22. The only difference between these three choices is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. See below. Measure your old balance's shoe depth to see what matches best. In any case, for the stamp option choose 2120 just like you figured. Let me know if you have questions.
