I'm trying the find some replacement window latches (horizontal sliding; some to the right, others to the left .
The picture is of the window latch that is on a sliding horizontal window. The window slides to the left (facing the window from inside the house). I took the latch off, and it had the following marking on the inside of the locking tab 3/8x.16. It was worn off, so it may not be entirely correct. Inside the main body of the latch there was the # 2342. The latch is 2 7/8" in length; 3/4" wide; The two mounitng holes are 2 1/4" to center. The two mounting holes are also 3/8" back from window facing edge of the mounting body.

Thanks for posting! The 90-313 Deep-set Sash Lock is not an exact replacement match but there is a chance it will work for the repair. Carefully compare the specifications to determine if this will be a suitable alternative.
This lock is sold with a backplate and two compatible screws.
