Window Lock for a Jeld-Wen Casing

Home Owner from Seattle, WA
I have a vinyl window casing with the right lock broken and looking for a replacement part. The series window is a Jeld-Wen 8630 PW. I see there are several parts that look close to what I need; however, I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Thanks.

Hello there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to look into this. Can you remove the lock from the window and show us a few photos? From there we should be able to narrow down some options.

Unfortunately, the window is closed in the lock position and I'm unable to open the window. The right handle moves up and down with no effort, so I believe something broke off that the lock attached to.

Is there an identical window in the house with an intact lock that can be removed? If so, we can use that as a reference. In the meantime, we've posted a video below that may be helpful.

Thanks. I watch the video and I would have to pull the handle to force the handle to break off. If I can ask, based on the information you have, is this just to narrow down to one of a few possible part options? If so, I would hedge on buying 2 -3 possible solutions, if that's the case. I really hate to break the handle and then have a window that I can't lock back up again until it's repaired. Thanks again for your assistance and research.

At this point, we can only offer an educated guess. With that said, the 38-095, 38-096, 38-138, and 38-139 come to mind but we don't know if any of them are what you have. Take a look at the specifications and see what you think. Note that the dimension of the projection of the fork is very important.
