Window Pivot Lock Shoe

Quick Learner from Maryland

Hello,

I have Simonton windows, installed about 2010 and on one of the windows I noticed that the Pivot Lock Shoe on the right (looking at the window) side, lower sash appeared to break in two in the middle below the metal locking nut. One part of the plastic frame appears to still be connected to the balance and the other half is not connected any more.

I am assuming I need the shoe, at the least, but maybe the balance as well. Here are some pictures of half of it. The other half is connected to the balance

Thanks,

Bob

Hey Bob. This looks like it might be our 15-192 Pivot Shoe; however, the Simonton version of this shoe has a different sized metal cam. If your cams are undamaged, you'd need to swap out the old ones into the new shoes so that they'll be compatible with your pivot bars. These pivot shoes are compatible with our Series 170 and Series 171 Coil Balances. See the video below for more details.
