Window Sash

Question

We just noticed that the DH window in one room will not stay in an open position. In fact it comes crashing down when opened. The top Sash has two pieces connecting the Sash to the track on the bottom. The lower Sash does not have any pieces connecting the sash to the track. When tilting the window out (to clean), the window sash fell into my hands.
I've attached a photo of the part on the upper sash.
What parts do I need to order?

Hello,

It sounds like your bottom sash may be missing the support balances used to support it.
We may be able to help, but we would need to see an intact balance assembly removed from an identical window in the house or the top sash. We'll also need to confirm the exact height of the glass in the sash with missing balances, as well as the exact weight of the sash. Thank you!
