Your pivot shoe looks like an older version of our 15-180, which means you can use our Series 190 to repair your balance setup.

If there are no stamps on the original spring, then you'll need to weigh your sash on a scale to determine the proper Series 190 strength option.

The window sash weight is 20# pounds.

Thanks for confirming. Since you only have one spring per side, that means they're probably rated to hold 10 pounds each. We unfortunately don't have a Series 190 that can hold that kind of weight, though. The heaviest we can offer is the S190-940, which carries 9 pounds. That's too weak.

A better solution is to bump up to using two springs per side; specifically the S190-540, which carries 5 pounds. Using four 5 pound springs will give you 20 pounds of support no problem.

You would also need a new clip, since your original clip is only designed to hold one spring. See our 15-181 double spring clip and our 15-182 balance bushing.

So I order# 15-182 & 15-181?
Or do I need a balance spring?

I assumed your old spring was broken, so you would still need to buy them, yes. Otherwise there'd be no point in getting the 15-181 and 15-182 to begin with.
