Window Weight

Im wondering how much a aluminum window weighs. I need to buy new spiral balances for one of my windows. It is a tilt window. measures roughly 35.75" X 53.25". Any thoughts on what tip color I should go with? I know I need a balance that is 3/8" diameter and 28" long but my current balance does not have any color tips.

Are you measuring the balance tube cover as part of the diameter of the balance, not just the coil spring that the spiral comes out of? If so, you can use our 3/8" thick S900-28 tilt balance. You can go with the green nylon tip, because we estimate your sash to weigh between 14-26 lbs. You can confirm it by removing your sash and placing it on a bathroom scale.
