Window World Channel Balance Replacement

Quick Learner from California
I'd like to replace two channel balances in a Window World window. Each channel balance is 24 inches long. Stamped identifier is 23 9 KU CMC 1. There is a hook on one end and a loop on the other end.

Thank you.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we'll need a bit more information to narrow down your options. If you could show us the connecting point between the spring and pulley inside the metal channel, that would help us confirm if our stock balances could work for your repair or if they would need to be special ordered. We'll also need to know the exact weight of your window sash to determine the strength options needed for your replacement since your 23 9 stamp is from an old weight system that is no longer used. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. The window sash weighs 25.6 pounds. I've attached a photo of the pully connection and the loop that connects to the hook. I need two of these channel balances.

Thanks again for your help. Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks for getting back to us. With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380-24 or S385-24 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.

You'll also need 2350 spring strength options for your replacement balances to support a sash between 23-27 lbs. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

It looks like the S385-24 will work. I placed my order and added the 2350 spring option.

Thank you for your help, Casey!
