Need window balances
1. Stamped 26 4bsi / ng

Can you help with the correct balances to purchase? We have 2 windows that are #1 and 4 windows that are #2.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks for writing in. I am pretty confident we can help replace these balances for you, but those stamp codes only tell us their spring calibration. To know their identity, we need to see pictures of the nylon fittings or attachments on either end of the metal channels. From there I'll do my best to narrow down exactly what you need. Thanks.

Thanks for getting back to me. Do both sets of balances have the exact same fittings on both ends? If so, then for each set you're going to need either our S380-27 or S385-27. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. The picture below illustrates this difference; compare both with your old hardware to confirm which Series you need.

For these balances, you need to choose a stamp option. For the balances stamped 26-4, use a stamp option of 2640; for the balances stamped 26-2, use a stamp option of 2620. Let me know if you have further questions.
