I am looking for replacement block and tackle balances for older WeatherShield double hung windows. They are circa 1992 windows. Printed on a replacement that fits is the following 32.25-4 JE5 CMC.

I'm afraid that stamp doesn't tell me what you have. I'll need a photo of the top and bottom nylon attachments on your balance in order to identify a good match. I'll also need you to confirm the exact length of the metal channel. That will help us find what you need.

It is 23.25" in length and has only one plastic piece. The is a "J" hook the connects to the fixed sash. Otherwise the ends are bare metal.

I'm sorry, I'm still a little confused. You're saying it's 23.25" long, but in your first post you said that the stamp reads 32.25-4. Is the stamp actually 23.25-4, or is it still 32.25-4?

I would still like photos of your balance, now more than ever. I'd like a clear picture of the top and bottom ends, the stamp, and that J hook you mentioned.
