Window balance imploded while wifey tried to force it open. Identifier stamped on reads 28D KK5 CMC.

I do recognize this balance. If I'm remembering correctly, it's not made anymore. We may have a substitute but I'll need a little more time to confirm my suspicions. Please bear with me a little longer and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Thanks again for waiting. As suspected, this balance isn't made anymore, but you could use our S795-28 as a replacement. Just note that this balance comes with a 1-1/4" wide shoe by default. You should measure your old shoe to confirm that's the right size. Let me know if it isn't.
