Window balance

Home Owner from Florida
I can send more images if required. I need 2 window channel balances for both sides of a window. Once I have the part number I assume I can order through your web site. Thanks, John.

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-30 or S385-30, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

Great, thank you. I now know its S380-30. The stamp has "29 9" as shown in the image, should I be selecting 2975 as the stamp option from your website? The window is reasonably heavy. Unfortunately, I don't have the weight of the window and I am currently away to get this information. Thanks in advance.

Your old stamp is a little outdated, unfortunately, and I am not able to determine its exact weight rating either. The only way you will know for sure which stamp is appropriate is to weigh the sash.

In this instance I do not recommend guessing. If your spring is too strong, then you will struggle to close the window and, in some cases, the window may even open on its own. Balance weights are a lot like Goldilocks' porridge: it has to be just right. Best to get the exact weight of the sash and pick what you need from the chart.

Thanks for the Goldilocks' porridge reference, lol. The only happy ending is waiting and getting the right weights... thanks for the advice. I will be ordering when I have this info to hand.
