Window balance

We'd be happy to help but, unfortunately, your balance is too damaged to identify. We'll need to see the clip attached to the end of the pulley of an intact balance, as well as confirm how the top of the metal channel installs in the window jamb. We'll also need to know the exact weight of your window sash to determine the spring strength needed for your replacements. Thank you. 

Thanks for getting back to us. We're making progress but we'll still need to see the metal clip attached to the end of the pulley cord that is used to install the balance to narrow down your options. Please also confirm the length of the metal balance channel. 

The part in your photo is a piece of the assembly that holds the pulley inside the metal channel. What we need to see is the fitting that attaches the balance to the pivot shoe or bracket below the balance. 

Perfect! Your balance resembles the S770-28 with 28F strength options to support a sash between 32-36 lbs. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else.

We can't be sure with your shoe still installed but the 15-178 and 15-188 are similar. The determining factor would be how the width and thickness compare to your pivot shoe.

Unforutnately, we do not carry a match for the tilt latch shown in your photos. Our best option would be to see if you could adapt a surface-mounted replacement to work by following the video below. Take a look and see what you think.
