Window balance

We have a channel balance that has 18E on it and we also have another with 18C. Can you offer any insight on this balance as it doesn't match the balances on your website.

Hello,

We'd be happy to help, but the stamp codes only indicate the strength of the balance springs, not the correct replacements. If you could show us an intact balance removed from the window, including both end fittings, we can go from there. Thank you!

Attached is photo. I found the item but the weight option for the 18E isn't available. What do you suggest in these situations.

Thanks for getting back to us. Your balance resembles the S770-18. As you noticed, we offer 18C strength options on the product page. I'm going to check with our inventory manager on the 18E strength options. We'll let you know as soon as more information is available.

We're about ready to send over your order link but I'd like to confirm if your balance uses a screw or S-clip like the 19-029 or 19-030 for installation. If it uses an S-clip, we'll also include the rivet at the top of your custom balances, which would be required for the 18C stamped balances as well. Also, please confirm that your balances measure exactly 18" long.
