Window balance

The stamp says 38-5 and some say 38-4 ga2 CMC 9

Thanks for your post! Your window balances are similar to quite a few we supply. I'm confident we can provide replacements for them but I'll need to see them removed from the window track to identify the correct match. The stamps only tell us the weight ranges balances may be able to support, they cannot be used to identify the series.

Please provide clear photos of the top and bottom attachments on the balances, to start. These photos only show the back of the bottom shoe. I'll also need to see a photo of the piece connecting the spring and the cord (string) in the middle of the balance.

In regard to the setup, are both of these balances supporting the same sash? If not, are they supporting an upper sash and a lower sash?
