Home inspector said window balance is broken. We found the broken plastic piece shown on the sill. I also sent pictures of the identified left side broken balance still in the channel and a photo of the intact/not broken balance on the right side of the window for reference. I'm trying to learn what parts I need to fix the broken balance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hey CJ. What you're showing is actually a broken Top Sash Guide. These attach tot he corners of the window sash, and help keep the channel balances in place. Due to age and sun exposure, these guides can break over time, which causes the balance to shoot past the sash and into the top corner of the window.
Therefore, I'm not convinced your window balance is what's broken here; you might just need a new Top Sash Guide. Compare an undamaged version to either the 18-009 or 18-166 to start. See if either of these match what you need.
