Window balance identity

Question

Hello, I think I have the right product identified but want to check since your website lists very specific measurements.

I am looking at your non-tilt, 1/2" balances. The metal chanel is 28 7/8" long, so I assume 29" balance.

It is stamped with 2840, BSI TA.

Neither of the top or bottom fittings have wings so I am looking at the 390 or the 351. The 390 measures 1 1/8" at the bottom fitting, the 351 measures 1" at the bottom fitting.

My balance is in between at 1 1/6". Which one should I choose?

Hello, Taylor. Your analysis is accurate. Looking at your photos I agree that you have either our S351-29 or S390-29, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. 1-1/16" isn't a size they make for these. Odds are it was once 1-1/8" but wore down over time from constant use. That's fairly common.
