Window balance not connected

Question

I have a double hung window in my bedroom that has come out of the balance. Please see the photos. Can I repair the existing part and get the window back in it or do I need a new part?

I don't see anything damaged, so I don't think replacement would fix this issue. It looks like your pivot shoe cam turned, which should only happen if you tilt the window in. What you need to do is remove the sash and then try putting it back in normally. See if that works.
