Window balance parts

Question

Hi I need to replace this window balance of a single hung windw (36" x40" high) The window lacks any identifying labels of any kind.

I would really appreciate your help.Thank you in advace

Hi Sebastian,

This balance shoe you have is the 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe. I'm confident this is the correct replacement but be sure to double check the dimensions.

This shoe uses the Series 190 Coil Balance; it is attached using the 33-073 screw. The pieces anchoring the coils to the window jamb are the 15-186 Coil Balance Clip and 15-182 Balance Bushing.

You'll need to look for a stamp/marking on the coil to determine the correct coil weight option. If yours does not have one, you'll need to confirm the exact weight of the window sash. Please see the tutorial (tagged below) for instructions on selecting the correct coil weight option.
