Window balance slider cord broke

A quick learner from Comox BC says:
Hello, I tried to help but broke my mother in laws window slider!

As I was reinstalling the slider, the cord snapped just below the hook. Can the cord be replaced or does the whole assembly get replaced?

Where would someone buy this in Comox, Vancouver Island?

Thanks for the assistance!

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for your photos. Unfortunately, replacing the cord is not possible. Once the cord snaps, you need an all new balance.

Based on what I see here, you have either our S351-26 or S390-26, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

Lastly, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with our area, so I cannot make a recommendation for where you can buy these. That said you can order these directly on our site at your convenience.
