Window balance spring

Thanks for reaching out to us. I just spoke to my colleague Ingrid about this situation, and she caught me up to speed. It appears the two of you were considering the Series 385 channel balance to replace this, but I don't think that's going to be right. Based on your stamp I think you have a special configuration.

To confirm, can you please show me a clear picture of the bottom fitting? I would like to see it from the same angle you have your balance oriented here, if possible. That will allow me to verify whether the Series 385 will work after all, or if you have the special configuration as I suspect.

If I'm right, then that means this balance will have to be a custom order. I would additionally need you to tell me how many you wanted to buy so we can get the ball rolling on that. I'll explain more when--or if--it comes to that.

Thank you. I thought this might be the case. This is not the Series 385, but a special configuration that we have to have custom made. The biggest difference is the design of the bottom nylon fitting; not just the shape, but the fact that the pulley system is physically built into it. This may not seem like an important factor but it totally changes how this balance works.

With that in mind, I will still need you to tell me how many balances you wanted to order, as requested above. Once I have a count, I can email you a purchase link and price quote that you can use to place an order on our site. Note that our minimum purchase quantity for custom balances is 2.
