Window balance spring rod retainer

I have windows installed from 1984. There is a plastic piece on each side of the bottom sash that compress and hold down the balance spring rod. They are breaking left and right now allowing the spring balance rod to pop up through and the windows won

Manuela, I have attached photos of the broke cap, the spring balance rod and an intact spring balance rod cap from another window. I hope this helps.

Looks like the Kinco top sash guide, 18-044. Please compare sizes. Is it right?
