Window balance weight

Question

the old balances are marked 29A X and 29C W. Which window weight does that correspond to (i.e. 2910, 2920, 2930 etc.)

Sometimes manufacturers used to use numbers to correspond with letters on the balance. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the 29A is our "2910" option and that the 29C is our "2930" option. I do have a question though, are these balances from the same window. If so, they should have the same stamp. If they are from the same window, then I would suggest weighing your sash so that you can ensure that you are choosing the correct sash weight range option. Get back to us if you have any questions!
