Window balancer

Question

I need window balancers for two windows. They seemed to be the same windows. One window sash weighed 19.4 lbs approximately and the other was 20.4 lbs approximately. The window sash on both was approximately 34" wide and 29-1/4" tall. I didn't find anything on the actual window or parts to identify any markings. Thank you!

Hello there. This looks likes a 15-180 Pivot Shoe, which works with Series 190 Coil Balance springs sold separately. For window sashes that weigh exactly 19.4 pounds and 20.4 pounds, I believe you can use the same spring configuration for both. For our replacement springs, you'll need to use two springs on each side of the window: the S190-540 5 pound springs. A pair of these on either side of the window sash will give you 20 pounds of overall support (being within 1 pound of the actual sash weight works just fine).
