Thank you for answering.
This is a 21 inch Caldwell, not counting the plastic. picture of the markings enclosed. The house was built in 1995. The balancer is sprung. I don't know if it can be re-set so am looking for a new one. thank you for your help.

Hi Sharon, Thanks for your question. I'd suggest the S385-21 channel balance. Unfortunately the spring cannot be reset. We recommend replacing both balances for this sash because once one spring fails, it typically means the other isn't far behind. Let us know how you make out.

What is sash weight? Bunch of options.
Thank you so much, this matches mine, will order too when you tell me what option to pick.

The sash weight is exactly what it sounds like: it's how heavy your window sash is. The window sash, to clarify, is the square glass panel that actually slides up and down in your window. Your original stamp looks like it could be "20 3," but it's faded so I'm not sure. That would correspond to our 2030 option, but you can always weigh your sash to confirm.
