Question

Hello! So I bought a 3 and 8 but the coil is too high to close the window all the way down. These seem to be 3 in long but fit otherwise

Your photos resemble the 15-180 pivot shoe shown below. See the S190 coil springs used with this assembly, which are sold separately. If your current coils are too strong, that could be why you can't close the windows all the way. If so, you'll need to weigh the sash and divide it by the number of coils used on each side, which appears to be two in your case. That will tell you the strength options needed to support your window properly. We also offer the 15-186 coil clip and the 15-182 bushing if needed. Thanks for posting!
