Window balancers

Contractor from Lacey, WA
Hello. I was just at a property where an elderly lady has damaged balancers that are no longer functional. Here is the number from the part. It is labeled as 26 4 Caldwell JL. I'm looking for 12 of these for six windows and the other one is labeled as 14 9 26 FL Caldwell. I'm looking for 4 of these total. The window is labeled Alpine on the window lock and these balancers are from a 1993 "Canyon Lake" manufacturer education home.

Hello there. I'm confident we can help you, but those stamps actually don't tell us the identity of the channel balances you need, but just their strength. Alpine windows use a few different kinds of these balances; so I am afraid the only way to reliably identify what you have is to send us photos of the nylon fittings, or attachments, on either end of the metal channel. If you can send us good photos of those fittings, we should be able to narrow this down for you in short order. See the video below for details.

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-27 or S385-27, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.
