Window balances

Question

The customer has single hung windows in a Maronda home. Believe they are Imperial windows. The lower sash is 33" wide by 30" tall, it does tilt. The balances are 29" long, and they are 5/8" balances. I am not sure of the weight of the window, and the existing balances are not red, or blue, they look white, or clear at one time, to me. The pivot shoes are blue,  The date on the window is 6/1998. please advise on the tip color I should be getting to replace the existing balances. The only other numbers on the window sticker are 59879.  and 1 21-24015. Thank you. Bob

Thanks for your detailed inquiry, Bob. If your current spiral balance should not have a color tip, the only way to choose the most appropriate option would be to have you weigh the sash on a scale and refer it to the sash weight range chart located on the product page. I see you also mentioned a pivot shoe. Should you need any assistance locating a replacement, send us over some detailed photos with measurements and we will get back to you with some recommendations.
