Window chanel balance

A home owner from Regina Saskatchewan Canada says:
I have narrowed down the series needed to series 351. We have a 18" long 1/2 wide balance with 19-002 top and 15-002 Shoe. Only thing is the weight. The number on our existing balance is 17-A which is from 1981 kitchen window. It is not very large so I would guess that it would be the lowest weight.

We ordered from a local business, but the balance they sold us made the window too hard to close. The number on it was Unique 17-F-60. The rivet was in a different position than the original, which may have been the problem, and also the spring was a lot harder to expand.

If you can help me with the correct size, I would like to order two of the balances and have them shipped to Canada. Let me know if this is possible. Thank you in advance.

A stamp of 17-A usually corresponds to our 1710 option, but you should weigh your sash just to be sure. We have a list of options for the S351-18 that shows how much weight each can support. Just cross-reference your sash weight there.
