Window channel

Question

From a condo building steel double hung, heavy window 36DS. Rn42 on unit. Managed to pop it out from bottom not a tilt in window

My first time messing with this, but am handy, but also don't want to bust anything else. Steel channel by itself 37" long, a little over 38 with plastic ends included, channel is 1/2 wide, the spring is a spring within a spring, but it seems fine. The nylon rope broke and rivet holding one end of the spring broke. Might as well get one for each side of window

Given your stamped marking of "36DS Rn42," that would best fit under our 3665 option. However, the balance manufacturer no longer makes springs for exact sash weight. To confirm whether or not our 3665 option would be a good option for you, you would need to weigh your sash to see if it falls in our spring weight range.
