Window channel balance

Question

Hello, Unfortunately I am not sure what part to order since there are no markings, names or number on it. The channel is 27" and 1/2" wide. Not sure how heavy the window is. The house was built in 2002 which is when the windows were installed. Thanks!

Hi there, May. Your balance closely resembles both our S380-27 and S385-27. The difference between these two balances are within the depth measurements of the bottom balance shoe. For the Series 380 it measures 1" in depth and for the Series 385, it's 1-3/32". Look at the diagram I placed below to see how exactly the depth is measured to get the most accurate result. Since your balance does not have a stamping, you will need to weigh the sash on a scale and refer to our sash weight chart listed on the product page to decide on the most appropriate stamp option for your sash.
