I need to replace a window Chanel balancer. The string is broken. I have the part number from the balancer it is: 26-4 JD5 CMC- 54

Then length of the channel without the plastic end tips is 27 inches.

Thanks for posting. I'm confident we can help, but I want to verify one extra detail. Can you shoe me pictures documenting the rest of the 'guts' or underbelly of the metal channel? Some channel balances from the northwest have a unique design we have to account for. Once we confirm whether or not that applies to you, we should be able to narrow down what you need. Many thanks.

Thanks for getting back to us, that's perfect. This is either an S380-27 or S385-27 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. See the diagram below for reference. Compare both balances with your old hardware to see what matches best. For a stamp option choose 2640.
