Window channel sash balance
Hello, thank you for posting,
We should be able to assist with a replacement, but to further review, are you able to provide a clearer image of the metal attachment at the bottom of the pulley cord that engages with the pivot shoe in the window channel? From there we can get a clearer idea of the overall style to determine a good fit. Thank you!
Thank you,
Your balance resembles the Series 770 that uses a terminal clip to engage with the pivot shoe. This balance installs at the top with a screw, but we can add a rivet at the top via a custom order to install with a S-clip like the 19-029 or 19-030 which appears to be how yours is installed.
Can you confirm if the rivet is installed at the top or lower in the channel? I cannot get a clear view from the angle.
The length of the metal channel is 31 inches correct? The stamp should translate to a 31B spring strength that can support a 13-19 pound window sash. I recommend weighing the sash to confirm this range.
Please note that the Series 770 does not use the same plastic guide at the bottom of the metal channel. It may be fine without this, but take a look to see if this part could be reused.
If you would like to move forward with this configuration, please let me know how many balances you need and I can send over an order link with pricing for your review. For custom orders there is a minimum of (2) balance required and nonrefundable. Thank you!
