Window channel stops?

Question

Installed in the window channel. One on each side. They are 5/8 of an inch wide and 1 1/2 inches long. The window balances are model number S385-34.
One of these items was broken when the balance cord broke and the balance shot up the channel.

I have replaced the balances on other windows in my house and I will be ordering two S385-34 balances to install when I replace these "stops"

Hi there!

The part pictured here is called a top sash guide. Yours is no longer made but our 18-171 can work if you can trim down the top to fit. You can use a utility blade to do so but make sure to wear safety gloves, just in case!
