Window: closed or all the way up

Question

Window dims: 23"x9.5" (~5lb)

With the 20-4 balancers, when opened the window raises itself all the way. I believe I need a 20-1 or at least lighter balancers. Hoping to confirm and order appropriate replacements.

Thanks for reaching out to us! I am certain we can recommend the replacement balances you need but I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance to identify them. I am specifically looking to see the top and bottom attachments on the balance. I'll also need to see a photo of the pulley and spring system in the center of the balance, where the spring and the string meet.

To confirm the correct stamp option, I'll need to know the exact weight of your sash.
