Window coil spring replacements

Handy Person from Orange CA
The intact coil assembly has 7R stamped on the case.  The broken assembly does not have any marks. The bottom metal pins have the number 4 on them. I want to replace both coils and both broken metal pins

The assembly you'll need to replace your existing coil balances is the S140-07 Quick-Tilt assembly. This is available in a right and left option. To confirm that this will be a fit, be sure to compare the dimensions.

The pivot bar can be replaced with either the 26-398 or the 26-405. You'll need to compare their dimensions (on the website) to an undamaged pivot bar to determine which of them is the correct replacement.

I ordered the 10lb version. The window weighs 5lbs more then the recommended max weight for the 7lb springs. Which is probably why the original spring fatigued and broke :/

If you have not weighed the sash, then it would be suggested to confirm the exact sash weight. The 10lb assemblies will support a sash weighing 20lbs.
