Window "crank"

Question

Hi - our window was easy to crank open, but would just spin when we tried to close it. Seems like it's stripped but not sure why in only one direction??

Is it possible to just buy the new crank, or do we need to replace the part that screws into the window as well? Or the entire window crank assembly?
