Window crank

A home owner from Bayonne NJ says:
The crank shown in for the attached Andersen window does not work in that it does not crank the window back in. It works cranking out, but window has to be pushed to get it closed again. Can you please identify the replacement part needed which we will then order from you?

It sounds like the gears are stripped out in your operator, meaning you need an all new replacement. That can't be repaired, unfortunately.

See our 39-146 and 39-147. I am confident that these will replace your old operators.

Thank you so much. does it matter which one I order based on the window, 39-146 or 39-147? Also, I assume I also need to order the crank 39-186, and the bracket you show 39-160 as well? Are those the same for either type of crank mechanism? Thank you very much

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Yes, it does matter which operator you buy. The operator in your photo is the 39-147 while the 39-146 would be for the opposite hand side, if you needed it.

You can buy a new handle and bracket if you wish but you should be able to reuse the originals as long as they're still in good condition.

Thank you so much for your help with this!
