Hi , I am looking to replace my window cranks both left and right and I think I have the correct part (Window Dyad Crank, 5"
Product Code: 39-089) I know I need the opposite side PN as well. My question is I have two arm just like the above part but the long arm is 5" and the shorter arm is 3", is only the long arm length mentioned in the part description or is 5" the overall length of the part number referenced?
Window crank

Hello there. I actually think you have the 39-187 and 39-188, rather than the 39-089 and 39-090. These two sets of operators are very similar, but you'll see the 39-187 and 39-188 have a 'W' shaped gear arm, whereas the other set has a "Z' shaped gear arm. The "W' is what your old mechanism has. As far as the arm lengths go, yes, the 'long' straight part of the arm (or what we call the link arm, as opposed to the 'gear arm' which is the part that comes out of the gear box) is 5". See the diagram below. Let me know if you have questions!
