Window crank

Quick Learner from North Augusta,SC
This is a 25 yr old Caradco window. Abt 18x18. The crank has pushed out of the housing. The arms go to the left and right. I need a replacement.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we'll need more information to get started. If you could show us photos of your assembly with the window open so the arms that move the sash are fully visible, we can go from there. Thank you!

The first picture has 2 phillips head screws holding the assembly in place. Idk how to get a screw driver in place to take them out so I can remove the assembly. A new one won't do me any good if I can't get the old one out. I sent a picture or where the handle mech came out. Maybe there is a way to reinstall.

It looks like you'll need to remove the sill trim to access the operator screws as shown in our video below. The type of window and hardware differ from yours but the process of removing the trim is pretty much the same.

Unforutnately, the broken spline can't be replaced but we've related our operators with the same kind of base on this page for you to review. Take a look and compare the arms that connect to the sash to your assembly.
