Window crank detached from the operator

A home owner from NJ says:
Good Morning,

My window crank handle detached from the operator with a metal screw attached. I tried screwing it back in but it won't thread. The window still opens/closes manually so I believe the problem is with the handle. Please advise on best route to fix/replace.

Hello,

The metal screw actually looks like the worm gear that should be attached to the operator base, which the handle installs on. This means that you'll need to replace the entire operator since the worm gear can't be replaced once it's broken. We'll need to see a photo with the window open so that the entire assembly is visible to recommend a replacement. Thank you!

With this kind of box operator, it's tough to tell what you need while it's still installed but we've related a few similar options for you to review. Take a look and carefully compare the dimensions to narrow down your options. Thank you!
