Window crank mechanism is shot

I have no idea what to purchase or what I need. My window is basically stuck cranked open right now. Please help.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to start by seeing a top down photo of your crank assembly, including the arms that move the sash. We can't be sure but it's possible that the gears may be stripped. I'd also recommend checking the top and bottom hinges for any damage. Thanks for getting back to us. It's tough to be sure since the photos show very close up photos of the arms that move the sash but it looks like you may have a dual-arm operator like the EntryGard 39-032. We also offer the 39-031 opposite handed version. The determining factor will be how the design and arm measurements shown below compare to yours.

Would I be able to leave the window hardware in place, and just swap out the base unit portion of this, assuming it is the correct one? Or does all the hardware, and arms and everything need to be replaced?

I will measure the arms when I get home to see if these arm measurements are accurate. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the entire assembly would need to be replaced since the spline that the handle attaches to can not be replaced once it becomes disengaged from the base.
