Window crank needs to be repaired/replaced

HI - My son broke the window crank on his bedroom window. The window does open & close, but the crank is bust. Please let me know what new parts I need to buy & if there are any instructions to install. Thanks

Hello! It looks like the gears stripped out. This usually happens when the handle is turned too tightly when opening or closing the window over a long course of time.

You'll need a new operator. I think our 39-031 and 39-032 are close, but you should look over our dimensions to ensure they match up. We also have a video that you may find helpful, which I'll post below.

You should be able to reuse your old handle and cover without issue.
