Please see our 39-253LB. I think this is operator will be an excellent replacement for your original. Just note that its cover and handle are sold separately under the 39-451.

How do you remove the old cover and reuse or install another cover?

There is a good chance you can't remove the old cover. The operator we sell, the 39-253LB, is the newer Encore style operator made by Truth. This is distinct from the older version in that it has a removable cover. This is not the case with the older style, where the cover is permanently fixed.
