Window difficult to open and close

Quick Learner from Usa
Window slides on metal tracks on the top and bottom of window. There appears to be plastic parts that slide on tracks. These are casement windows.

Hello! Looks like you might be having a problem with the hinges. We don't have your exact style of hinge, but I think you can use our 36-048 as a substitute as long as you replace the top and bottom at the same time. Look them over and see what you think.

When I disconnect the window from the hinges, the hinges and crank move easily. When I reconnect the hinges to the window, opening and closing become difficult again.

Ah, I see. That's interesting. When you put the hinges back on the window to test, how are you opening and closing the window? Are you using the operator or are you doing it by hand? If you're using the operator, then that itself may be the problem Disconnect it from the window and try opening and closing the window by hand. If it works, then we've found our culprit.

We also supply operators, so I'm confident we can get you a match for yours. I'll just need a photo of it removed from the window to be sure.

Those plastic slides are part of the hinge. You said that it works fine when you have it removed from the window.

If the crank operators work find disconnected from the window, and if the hinges work fine disconnected from the window, then I don't know what the problem is. It would only be one or the other. There could potentially be an obstruction in the frame, like a screw or piece of debris, that's getting in the way when you try to close the window.

That's just an educated guess, though. In most cases the problem is either the hinge or the crank operator, but you say that both of yours work fine when disconnected from the window. I would double check just to be sure.

The operator I assume is what I am calling as the crank. The operator and hinges move freely and easily when disconnected from the window. To open and close the window I have to push or pull the window by hand.
When I do this the window is very stiff and hard to move.

I believe the problem is the pins and or plastic slides at the top and bottom of the window. As shown in my pictures.
