Window frame

Question

Can you tell me what this part is?   The top window slides down.  There is another window that does not meet the bottom on the left side. I have been looking at counter balances.  But none seem to look like this?

It looks like you may be showing part of an old-style balance assembly that supports the weight of the window sash. Unfortunately, we do not carry a replacement for the hardware shown in your photos. In this case, I would recommend reaching out to the window manufacturer directly if they are still in business. I'm sorry that we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
